Childbase is Coming Near You
Childbase International is a group of nurseries in the UK preparing to expand into the Middle East. Childbase International started as a family business in 1989. Mike Thompson, CEO of Childbase wanted to make a radical change to how childcare centres operate. Childbase became the first childcare business to be 100% owned by the employees. Employee ownership meant that Childbase was able to ensure that everyone was accountable for providing quality, exemplifying equality, diversity and respecting contributions of all stakeholders in the organisation. This unique and innovative structure enabled Childbase to establish a detailed, successful, and comprehensive operational system that is able to be shared with partners from around the world.
